Deke DeLoach "Hoover's FBI" FOIA

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Materials provided to Cartha "Deke" DeLoach to aid in his writing of the 1995 book "Hoover's FBI: The Inside Story by Hoover's Trusted Lieutenant." In the book, DeLoach stated that he obtained "over 6,000 memoranda from the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act." When asked in a C-SPAN interview if others could obtain the information, DeLoach responded "Absolutely. They could receive the same thing that I received if they only ask for it, under the Freedom of Information Act. I was given no favors in that regard."

If there are production and duplication fees in excess of $50, I would like to amend my request for the invoice provided to DeLoach.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
