Dear FOIA Officer:

I request copies of all responsive documents previously released through FOIA Request No. BLM-2014-00519, which was submitted by Joe Mozingo and received on April 30, 2014. Please include the original FOIA request as well as all correspondence, processing notes, appeals, and agency responses.

Relevant information in the requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

Dear Administrator:

This is an appeal under the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552.

On November 18, 2021, I made a FOIA request to your agency for copies of responsive documents released through previous FOIA Request No. BLM-2014-00519. On November 19, 2021, I received an automatic confirmation letter from your agency, and you assigned my request tracking No. DOI-BLM-2022-000786.

It has been over a year since I submitted this FOIA request, and I have not heard anything from your agency. This period clearly exceeds the 20 days provided by the statute, and thus I deem my request denied.

The information I requested is merely a duplicate of your agency's previous response to a FOIA request, plus processing notes, and therefore is clearly
releasable under FOIA and may not validly be protected by any of the Act's exemptions. Also, it should have been a simple matter to process and fulfill this request.

As I have made this request in the capacity of a journalist, I would appreciate your expediting the consideration of my appeal in every way possible. In any case, I will expect to receive your decision within 20 business days, as required by the statute.
