Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for ALLEN M BRYANT including Form DD-214, all Fitness Report and Counseling forms NAVPERS Form 1610/2, NAVPERS form 1610/1, Enlisted performance evaluation reports NAVPERS Form 1616-1, the Background Summary (NAVPERS Form 1640/32), Cumulative Record of Training (NAVPERS Form 5300/16), history of assignments NAVPERS 1070/605, Navy Training History NAVPERS form 601-4, all military decorations and all award citations, military education/training courses with dates, military service number.
Specifically request copy of history of assignments NAVPERS form 1070/605, copy of commendation medal citations, meritorious service medal citation, navy unit commendation medal citation, Joint Meritorious Unit Award citation with redactions as determined. Mr Allen Bryant is a retired navy enlisted petty officer.
Awarded many decorations including joint service achievement medal, navy commendation medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal, etc . approximate navy service dates ~1978 to 2000 active duty. current employee of U.S. department of defense.
This request is submitted to verify claim to be a navy military veteran. NPRC search unable to locate the OMPF file due to Navy personnel records for discharged service members after 12/31/1994 reside with Navy Personnel Command.

PLEASE NOTE: I represent general public and thus do not know the military service number or birth date.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering.

Please cancel this FOIA request concerning Allen M Bryant forwarded to NSW-FOIA command in error. The requested records per FOIA are at a different agency. NPRC is the custodian of the Navy OMPF records for this servicemember discharged before 1999. NSW Command does not maintain these records.

May we request FOIA request DON-NAVY-2019-002055 concerning, ALLEN MILTON BRYANT forwarded to the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC), along with service number and registry number. we have informed NSW FOIA of intent to have request sent to agency that maintains the actual records.

NPRC has confirmed OMPF files for Navy service members discharged before 1999 reside in the custody of National Personnel Records Center. NSW Command does not maintain OMPF personnel records before 1999, the files are transferred to NPRC from Department of the Navy.
Mr Allen M Bryant was discharged before 1999.
