Dear Laura,

In respect to the Public Record Act (PRA) requests listed in the table below, pursuant to California Government Code section 6253(c), the City is extending the time to provide its response to your request, and will provide its response by Monday, August 8, 2022. The reason for this extension is to permit the City time to search for, collect, and appropriately examine a voluminous amount of separate and distinct records.

Thank you.

Dear Laura,

The Ukiah Police Department received your CPRA request. Please see our response below.

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Please provide copies of any complaints against and dispositions of complaints filed for Patrol Sergeant Ronald Donahue (employed Feb 2021 - Present).

* There are no records responsive to this request.

Please provide copies of any complaints against and dispositions of complaints filed for Officer Eric Rodello.

* The responsive records involve an incident of alleged officer misconduct that does not fall under any of the categories of disclosable records under Penal Code § 832.7(b)(1) and Government Code § 6254(f). As such, under Penal Code § 832.7(a), these records are confidential and not disclosable except by discovery through a Pitchess motion brought pursuant to California Evidence Code sections 1043 and 1045. For these reasons, your request for these records is denied.

Thank you.
