To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Missouri Sunshine Law and the Missouri Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
Computer-aided-dispatch (CAD) logs for the St. Louis County Police Department, for August 19, 2014, from midnight until noon.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

In regard to your records request (see below email), the nature of the electronic data base for these logs does not permit a simple push of a send button to transmit. There is clerical time involved in the printing and then conversion to a format that is electronically transmittable. In regard to your request, the document consists of 18 pages, and the clerical time involved makes the cost for this request $4.04. If you wish to receive the report, please submit a check or money order in the amount of $6.50 to St. Louis County, addressed to me and include this email with your payment.
Due to the massive amount of records requests, and the department’s many other responsibilities, requests for records may take up to approximately 10 business days to process. Please do not call or email to check the status of your request until 14 business days after your request was submitted.
