Re: Records Request

Dear Mr. Ader:

Your request for records from the St. Louis County Police Department has been received by Mail. I am the Custodian of Records for the Police Department.

Due to the state of emergency in St. Louis County and ongoing health concerns, there is currently reduced on-site staffing for the Department. The Department will therefore need additional time to determine if it possesses records responsive to the request and to evaluate if the records are open or closed in whole or part pursuant to the applicable provisions of Chapter 610 RSMo and Chapter 114 SLCRO. We do not anticipate being able to fulfill requests until July 10, 2020, if not sooner.

All documents are being produced electronically. If you require physical documents, they will be sent via US Mail and may incur an additional cost. Please do not appear in person to receive your documents. Thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

Lieutenant Craig Molden

Good evening J Ader,
I have conducted a preliminary search of your records request and it will be very extensive and cost a lot of money. At this point, it will take 24 hours to research your request at $16.17 totaling $388.08. If this is too much money then could you clarify your request. Please advise.
