To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
- Any complaints reported against Seminole County Sheriff's deputies assigned as school resource officers between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 1, 2019.
- Any records of disciplinary actions taken against SCSO SROs during the above-mentioned time period.
- Any spreadsheets, logs, or other records tracking misconduct lawsuits against SCSO SROs during the above-mentioned time period.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Good afternoon,
I consulted with our Legal Department and Professional Standards Division about your public records request. Unfortunately, Legal does not track lawsuits in this fashion, and Professional Standards does not track by the employee’s assignment. In other words, we can’t query by assignment. We would need the names of the deputies involved to pull the records you’ve requested.
