Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

1. The total number of civilian complaints reported in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (separated by year).
2. The total number of civilian complaints sustained in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (separated by year).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Here is what we have regarding your request for information:
1. The total number of civilian complaints reported in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (separated by year).
a. 2016 there were 78 formal complaints received
b. 2017 there were 54 formal complaints received
c. 2018 there were 56 formal complaints received
d. 2019 there were 27 formal complaints received
NOTE: The above numbers is every formal complaint form received. Most did not result in a formal investigation.
2. The total number of civilian complaints sustained in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (separated by year).
a. 2016 there were 3 sustained
b. 2017 there were 2 sustained
c. 2018 there were 2 sustained
d. 2019 did not have any formal investigations from an external source
