HB7 Impact: New College of Florida

Mr. Steinbaugh,

I am writing in response to your records request copied below. I apologize
for the delay in responding; the College's General Counsel left the
position around the time of your original request and the email account may
not have been monitored. In the future, please contact the Office of the
President if you do not receive a confirmation of receipt.

A search of College records has returned no responsive documents. However,
I am providing a link to regulations of the State University System Board
of Governors. As you may know, the Board of Governors provides guidance and
oversight of all Boards of Trustees for the state universities.

Subject: Florida Sunshine Law Request: HB7 Impact: New College of Florida
To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following
records:

1. A copy of any guidance, information, or policies distributed by New
College of Florida's administration, the State of Florida, or any other
governmental authority to faculty or staff concerning House Bill 7 or Fla.
Stat. § 1000.05(4). This request is limited to records generated on or
after January 1, 2022.

This request is part of a survey being conducted of every public university
or college in Florida. Please note that this request does not seek a search
of faculty or student email accounts or records. These requests should in
no way be construed to include a review or search of email accounts,
websites, or other forms of data or document retention which are controlled
by students, alumni, or faculty members, nor by governmental or advisory
bodies controlled by the same, except insofar as any such individuals also
serve in an administrative capacity and the records were created or are
held by the individual in that capacity. Any search should be limited to
documents held by the administration and/or its staff members, including
records created or maintained by persons acting in the capacity of
administrators or staff members.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and
this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform
me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer
the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or
CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I
look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business
days.
