Testing by ethnicity/healthcare Covid-19 data

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all data since March 1, 2020 to present, that shows the ethnicity of each person who tested for Covid-19 in both private healthcare and public health testing sites in Santa Clara County. I understand that Santa Clara County already tracks this information given the fact that they are able to present case and death data by ethnicity, as shown here: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/covid19/Pages/dashboard-demographics-of-cases-and-deaths.aspx. Laboratory testing data is also shown and tracked here" https://www.sccgov.org/sites/covid19/Pages/dashboard-testing.aspx. Additionally, the state of California requires that County Health Departments track this information since Sept. 2020, which is stated on the state website here: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/CaliforniaHealthEquityMetric.aspx .

In addition, I would like all datasets that show how many vaccines were used by/given to healthcare providers and how many vaccines were used by/given to Santa Clara County Department of Public Health from March 1, 2020 to present. I understand that the Health Department receives records of this information through partnerships with the healthcare facilities in its county.

I would like this information in a downloadable format of a CV, Excel or spreadsheet file if possible. This should already be likely given the nature of other Health Department data which uses this spreadsheet format.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

The County has designated the Office of the County Counsel as the office responsible for receiving and coordinating public record requests, and as such, I am providing a response to your request. Regarding your first request, as you noted, the County has this data available on the County's public health data dashboard. Regarding your second request, please visit the County's COVID-19 Vaccine Dashboard, which is available here<https://www.sccgov.org/sites/covid19/Pages/dashboard-vaccine.aspx>. The Vaccine Dashboard is updated daily and provides a summary of all COVID-19 vaccines received and administered by vaccine providers located in Santa Clara County, as well as the number of vaccine appointments scheduled in the next 7 days. Please make sure to review the Data Notes located below the dashboard for additional information about the dashboard.
