Data on incidents/crimes reported from 1/1/2009 through 12/31/2020. I am part of a public health research team that is seeking this information for research aimed at reducing violence.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hello,

The time period you are requesting data from crosses several different computer systems and databases, and crosses over the time from when the Department switched from UCR stat reporting to NIBRS/CIBRS stat reporting. Because of these different methods of stat tracking and the different systems it is housed in, our IT department estimates it would take twenty-five (25) hours of programming time to extract the requested data. Government Code Section 7922.575(b) allows the City to charge you for this programming time; at $55/hour, which is our IT technicians' hourly rate, that would be $1375.

Check payments are accepted via US Mail or in the lobby of our station.

Credit card payments can be accepted via our Request a Report portal at the link provided below. Please be advised there is a $10 fee charged by our credit card processor.
