Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, § 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:
Correspondence between Twitter and the City of San Francisco from 2009-2011
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

I am writing in regards to your email sent on July 31, 2015 requesting records of "correspondence between Twitter and the City of San Francisco from 2009-2011."
While your request specifies the City of San Francisco, I wanted to clarify that our office can only provide records that it is the custodian of, not the entire City of San Francisco. If you would like us to search records we hold for correspondence between the City Attorney's Office and Twitter from 2009-2011, please let us know and we would be happy to go forward in the search.
If this was not what you were looking for, I would recommend reaching out to other city departments. However, if interested in records specific to the City Attorney's Office please let us know so we can go forward in the search.

I am writing in response to your public records request on July 31, 2015 in which you asked for "correspondence between Twitter and the City of San Francisco from 2009-2011." As stated in a previous email, our office can only respond to requests for records in our office's custody (we can't respond for other City agencies, and certainly not for all City agencies). After reviewing records in this office's custody, we have no records responsive to your request.
I am informed that Twitter-related issues between 2009 and 2011 involved policy debates, not legal disputes. For that reason, I would recommend contacting policy-making authorities (like the Board of Supervisors and Mayor), or possibly an enforcement authority (like the Treasurer/Tax Collector's Office) for records that may be relevant to your inquiry.
