Pursuant to the California's Sunshine Amendment (Cal. Const. Art. I, § 3(b)), I hereby request the following records:

Any and all letters addressed to, emails intended for, and other documents regarding "Harold Francis Callahan" a.k.a. "Harry Callahan" a.k.a. "Dirty Harry"; Harry Callahan is a fictional San Francisco Police Department inspector portrayed by Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry series of films (see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Callahan_(character) ).

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

I am writing to acknowledge your request for Police Department public records, received at the Media Relations Unit via email on October 30, 2013. See California Government Code Section 6253(c).
Your request is denied for the following reason; records need to be in existance. We do not have any correspondence/records that exists for the below request. As California Public Records stipulates, a public record defined as any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public's business. A docment needs to be prepared, used, owned or retained by any state or local agency regardless of form or characteristic. See California Government Code Section 6252(a).
