UNR Drone Approvals, Denials, and Registrations

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

For the period of January 1, 2022 through January 1, 2024 documentation relating to the use of UAS (unmanned aerial vehicles, also known as drones):

• approvals, denials, and justifying materials from the Vice President of Research and Innovation (VPRI) regarding UAS use for University faculty, staff, and students.
• Operations plans for UAS use
• UAS operations applications
• all UAS registration documents

According to "5,030: Policy on Use of Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UASs) and Drones" https://www.unr.edu/administrative-manual/5000-5999-general-university-services/5030-policy-on-use-of-unmanned-aerial-vehicles-(uavs)-and-drones approvals and denials are the responsibility of the VPRI.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
