Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any documents detailing deaths caused by illegal drugs in Washoe Country between January 2022- October 2023.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Attached is a spreadsheet listing the drug-related deaths in Washoe County between 01/01/2022 and 07/31/2023. Drug-related death data is currently unavailable beyond 07/31/2023. Your request specifically noted "illegal drugs." The Washoe County Regional medical Examiner's Office does not have a way to differentiate a substance's legality so I have provided you will all drug-related deaths.
