Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

The current financial budget for expenditures towards vehicle purchases and repairs
Policy and Procedures to have vehicles purchased.
Policy and Procedures for vehicle maintenance & repairs
Any vehicle purchases made between January 1st, 2021 -December 30th 2022 including the make year and model of the vehicle.
Any vehicle repair Invoices for January 1st, 2021 -December 30th 2022
Any vehicle repair logs for January 1st ,2021-December 30th 2022

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I am in receipt of your request seeking multiple categories of information related to vehicle maintenance and repair for a two year period. Please be advised that this request will require extensive use of information technology resources and extensive use of clerical, supervisory assistance or both. Therefore, pursuant to sec 119.07(4)(d), Florida Statutes the agency requires that you provide a deposit in the amount of $626.88 before further work is done on this request.

The records you have requested will require extensive staff time to locate and retrieve. The records will then have to be reviewed for the applicability of any exemption pursuant to Florida Statute Chapter 119. We estimate this process will take approximately sixteen (16) hours to complete and will be done at the rate of $39.18 an hour. This process represents the above quoted deposit amount.

If for some reason it takes us less time to complete this request than anticipated, then we will refund you the un-used portion of your deposit. If it appears it is going to take us substantially more time to fulfill this request then we may request another deposit. Please pay by check or money order made payable to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Please make reference to your request with your payment and send it to my attention. If we do not hear from you within 30 days we will consider your request withdrawn. We will begin preparing the documents as soon as we receive your deposit.
