Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
1. Any police report, complaint (including by parents, students, citizens, or officials), or investigative records concerning the content of any books, materials, or events at a library. This includes any public library or school library.
2. Any photographs, videos, or other evidence/documents referenced in the report, complaint, or investigative records.
This request is limited to records generated on or after January 1, 2020.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Thank you for contacting the City of Orlando. We have received your request, however, we receive hundreds of requests each week. We will process your request in the order it was received. Once we begin to process your request we will notify you if the request will take more than 30 minutes.
Pursuant to City Policy, if producing the requested records will require more than 30 minutes of total staff time, we will provide an estimate of the labor costs to retrieve the records before we begin the work. City policy also requires that we collect a deposit before work begins on records requests when an estimate is $100 or more.
Please note that no fees are due now and we will notify you if we estimate it will require more than 30 minutes to retrieve the documents you requested.

Good Afternoon,
We've reached out to the Orlando Police Department regarding your request. Our system is unable to filter for reports as written in your request. The Crime Center ran a report for any case involving the word "library" in the timeframe provided and the results yielded 1,523 case numbers. The Police Records Unit would have to review each report to determine if it is responsive to your request and a second cost estimate would need to be generated for any photos, videos, evidence, or other records.
To go through each report and provide the subsequent records would be labor intensive and thus costly. Please advise if you would like to narrow your request or move forward with a cost estimate.
