To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
For any records held or generated by your district's police department, office (or department) of safety and security, special investigative unit, or other law enforcement officials:
1. Any police report, complaint (including by parents, students, or any third party), or investigative records concerning the content of any books, materials, or events at a library.
2. Any photographs, videos, or other evidence/documents referenced in the report, complaint, or investigative records.
This request is limited to records generated on or after January 1, 2020.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Your request will be processed in accordance with Section 119.07 Florida Statutes. The District will notify you of any fees to cover the cost of reproduction; if the nature of your request requires extensive use of information technology, clerical, supervisory resources, the district may reasonably charge the personnel’s hourly assistance (including benefits), prior to any work performed. Payment will be due in advance by check or money order, made payable to Orange County Public Schools.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be notified should the requested record(s) qualify as confidential/exempt from inspection. Under public records laws, the district is not obligated to create records in response to a request for public records. Likewise, the district will not acquire computer software for the sole purpose of providing access or delivery of public records that are accessible by other means.

* Is this a request for any official law enforcement report or investigations pertaining to books?
* Or any complaints about books in the schools libraries and the investigation of whether to remove the book(s)?
