Files on Oakland Teachers Strike (Oakland Unified School)

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all files, memos, and communications related to the Oakland teachers strikes that took place from February 24-March 3. Specifically, I'd like any emails sent to or from the following elected officials that are responsive to my request:
All sitting members of the Oakland Unified School Board
Superintendent Dr. Kyla Johnson-Trammell
Senior Executive Assistant Robin Sasada
Deputy Communications Chief Valerie Goode
Communications Director John Sasaki
Chief Financial Officer Gloria Gamblin
General Counsel Marion McWilliams

I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am an intern for MuckRock, and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity. MuckRock is widely known for its investigative work as well as historical pieces based on public records requests.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hi John,

1) My apologies -- I am looking for emails about the strike from elected officials in the district (not all district employees), as well as the specific employees/officials I listed.

2) The staff directory I found on the OUSD website listed her as "interim Chief Financial Officer" -- can you tell me if she was serving in this capacity during the dates of the strike, from Feb. 24-March 3 2019? If so, I would like information from her emails; if not, I would like information from the email of whoever was serving as CFO during those dates.

3) I understand that about McWilliams. Can I add to that request then, emails from her Executive Assistant, Yolanda Bullock-Matthews?

4) I'm interested in your communications, along with Sasada's and Goode's, because I am interested in how the school district responded to complaints or communications from parents/teachers/community members re: the strike, as well as in any information about the school district's internal strategy for communications to press and concerned community members about the strike. I believe Communications, as well as Sasada, would have emails pursuant to that focus.

Thank you for getting these together for me! Unfotunately, I'm not sure what kind of files you sent me, but I can't open them. Are they new inboxes? If you could send me PDFs of the emails generated, that would be far preferable, but if you have some advice on how to view the files that would be fine as well.
