Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

A list of all contracts, agreements and memorandum pertaining to the FDNY's acquisition of robotic devices from Boston Dynamics and other robotics makers

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

PLEASE BE ADVISED that additional time is needed to respond to your request. Factors and circumstances necessitating more time to respond may include, but are not limited to: (1) the number of requests received by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), (2) the complexity of the request, (3) the ease or difficulty in locating and retrieving records, (4) the volume of records located in response to the request, and (5) the need to review records pursuant to Public Officers Law (POL) § 87(2) to determine the extent to which they must be disclosed. With respect to factor 1, at the time you made your request, numerous other FOIL requests were already pending, many of which involved multiple factors, or all the factors cited above. With respect to factor 3, record retrieval remains ongoing. With respect to factor 5, responsive records will be reviewed pursuant to Public Officers Law § 87(2) to determine if any record or portion of records are exempt from disclosure.
