Good morning,

You have reached the general inbox for the Unified Court System. I am sorry to hear that you have not received a response to your request yet. I am unable to view information submitted via links but based on your previous email it appears that you are requesting case information pertaining to U.S. Bank v. Campbell, 202 A.D.3d 1137, 163 N.Y.S.3d 247 (N.Y. App. Div. 2022). If you made a previous request using a FOIL Request Form or by email to foil@nycourts.gov<mailto:foil@nycourts.gov>, that unit is responsible for handling Administrative Record and Report<https://ww2.nycourts.gov/foil/AdministrativeRecords.shtml> requests. Court records is not governed by FOIL (Public Officers Law, 86), but by section 255 of the Judiciary Law, which is directed to the responsibilities of a clerk of a court.
You should submit a request for court records directly to the Clerk of the Court or the County Clerk that possesses those records. Typically, the court in which the case was handled will have those records. Please see our Court Records<https://ww2.nycourts.gov/foil/CourtRecords.shtml> page for more information. You can use our Court Locator<https://ww2.nycourts.gov/courtlocator> search tool to locate the appropriate court to submit your request.
I hope this is helpful, but feel free to reply to this email should you need further assistance. Best of luck!

The Office of Court Administration acknowledges receipt of your FOIL request dated 5/24/23, seeking:

all case files on U.S. Bank v. Campbell, 202 A.D.3d 1137, 163 N.Y.S.3d 247 (N.Y. App. Div. 2022). I would like to also see the original complaint.
Please be advised that this Office does not maintain court records, nor are court records subject to FOIL. See Public Officers Law ยง 86.

Rather, access to court records is governed by section 255 of the Judiciary Law, and the custodian of court records typically is the clerk of the court or county clerk where the proceedings were handled. Additional information regarding access to court records is available at the following link: http://ww2.nycourts.gov/foil/CourtRecords.shtml

You should direct a section 255 request to the clerk where such case was handled. The request should identify the specific records sought, to permit the clerk to conduct a search, determine what responsive records exist, and assess the search, copy, and certification fees, consistent with CPLR Article 80.
