Pursuant to the Oregon Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
Related to district HVAC systems for the last five years:
Maintenance records
inspection reports
air quality tests
capital improvement reports for all district schools
As background, this request is filed as part of a journalism project looking at HVAC systems across schools in the United States, and similar requests are being filed in additional school districts.
If you have summary reports or other documents that are likely to include largely similar information and are easier to provide, I’m willing to accept those as a substitute.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Mr. Gambardella,
My name is Pat McGough and I am the Chief Operating Officer for the West
Linn-Wilsonville School District. I have been forwarded your request and
will do my best to send the information requested. The amount of
information identified in your email below is significant and will exceed
$100 quickly (2.85 hours of research time). As the District has had two
large public Bonds that had significant HVAC components, that request alone
could take over 20 labor hours to complete. If you are requesting details,
such as the model numbers of the equipment and cost of the projects, labor
time will significantly increase as well.
I would like to collect the information that is necessary to your request
if possible. Can we narrow the focus of your request and get you the best
information within your $100 limit? If you have a few minutes, please feel
free to give me a call and I'll do my best to gather all of the information
that you truly need.
