Good morning Mr. Fritz,

You should have received a notification from HQ DOE that your FOIA request (Re: HQ-2023-01472-F) has been transferred to the Golden Field Office (GFO) for processing. Before we process your request however, I wanted to provide some information regarding the information you're requesting.

We have received multiple requests for this information. During our search and review process, we learned that negotiations are still very much underway. As such, the documents responsive to your request cannot be released at this time. It is anticipated that the majority of award negotiations will be completed in the early November timeframe.

This in mind, I would like to give you the opportunity to withdraw your request with no further actions required at this time, and re-submit your request at a later date. We already have the responsive documents in hand so it should be a quick turn-around once the negotiations are complete. You can contact me directly to provide an update prior to re-submitting your request if you like. If you choose to withdrawal and resubmit later, I would recommend waiting until December to ensure its wrapped up.

Please let me know how you would like us to proceed. If however, you would like us to continue processing your request, I will provide GFO's Final Determination, which will inform you officially of our inability to release documents at this time. Please let me know if you would like to discuss further.
