To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:

A log of public records requests submitted to the Mayor's office that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

Hi Kirsten,

These are great. When we spoke on the phone, you mentioned that these types of email records are also available for a few years before 2015. Would it be possible to also get the media requests emailed to the Mayor's office in the earlier years that you have available?

I understand that receiving those records might take a while given the need to redact personal information etc., but having records from several years would be very helpful for my research project. I don't need to have these records immediately and would be fine with you filing time extensions to the request as needed so the request would not become overly burdensome.

Thanks,
Erik
