From: Erik Peterson

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Act ("FOAA"), I hereby request the following records:

A log of public records requests submitted to the Attorney General's office that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

Sincerely,

Erik Peterson

Dear Mr. Peterson,

This is to acknowledge receipt of your request, sent via email last Friday pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Act, for "a log of public records requests submitted to the Attorney General's office" dating back to 2004 and listing certain specified information.

Our office has maintained such a log since 2013. We are in the process of updating it right now, but will be able to provide you with a copy sometime next week. I anticipate that we will be able to provide it as an email attachment, so there should be no cost involved.

Sincerely,

Phyllis Gardiner

To Whom It May Concern:

I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on March 27, 2015. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

From: Gardiner, Phyllis

You should receive the material sometime this week. Our staff has been out straight with other work, so it has taken more time than I had anticipated to finish updating the log. Thanks for your patience.

From: Gardiner, Phyllis

Mr. Peterson –

We will be sending a copy of the updated log to you on a CD-ROM, but I need your mailing address in order to accomplish that, please.

Thank you.
