Public Records Request Log - Arizona Attorney General's Office

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the state open records law, Ariz. Rev. Stat. Ann. Secs. 39-121 to 39-122 and 39-128, I hereby request the following records:

A log of public records requests submitted to the Attorney General's office that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure what you mean by 'specific data', but I'm conducting a research project examining the volume of information requests submitted to various state agencies over time as well as the different groups that file requests. That's why I asked for a log of information requests.

I've encountered a few instances where agencies have not maintained a log. In those cases some of the agencies have been able to provide me with copies of all the requests they've received. Using that I can gather the information usually contained in a log.

If a log isn't available, would it be possible to get copies of the requests submitted to the AG's office?
