To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Files on Father Albert Sidney Foley, the Jesuit priest, professor at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and anti-KKK activist (https://uscatholic.org/articles/201311/father-albert-foley-how-one-priest-took-on-the-kkk/). Subject is born in 1912 and is therefore over 100 years of age, however I have provided an obituary.

As per my understanding of the FBI's FOIA policies, please expand your search to include both main and reference files.

I am making this request in my capacity as a journalist who has written extensively about government transparency, including several books on the FBI specifically. As such, I am not requesting a fee waiver, but I am requesting I be placed in the media requester category.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

JPat Brown
