Amtrak Board of Directors - Meeting Agendas and Minutes | August 2020

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The agenda and minutes for any meeting of Amtrak's Board of Directors that occurred during the month of August 2020.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Ms. Conner,

I'm following up to your message of October 6, 2020 where you said, "As the Board of Directors is not currently meeting, we have no meeting minutes from 2020 to provide you. When the Board meets again in person, we will provide them to you."

My request was for, "the agenda and minutes for any meeting of Amtrak's Board of Directors that occurred during the month of August 2020."

My request did not specify only the agenda and minutes of "in person" meetings of Amtrak's Board of Director's meetings.

I am assuming that at some point during 2020 Amtrak Board shifted their meetings to either teleconference or online video meetings due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

I also assume that any meeting of the Board via teleconference or online video would be an official meeting of the board, complete with an agenda and minutes for each meeting.

With all of that said, I wish to again ask again that you provide me with the agenda and minutes for any meeting of Amtrak's Board of Directors that occurred during the month of August 2020.
