Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of body cam footage from the arrest of Vitallii Kovalev, also possibly known as Vitalii Kovalev and Vitaly Kovalev. Mr. Kovalev was arrested on June 16, 2020. His arrest number is MCSO20ARR002460 and offense number MCSO20OFF003605. The arresting officer was Ty Torres.

This footage was previously released to CBS News, and aired on its news magazine program 60 Minutes on Sunday, March 31, 2024. As this footage has already been displayed publicly by a major news network, there should be no additional concerns for releasing it to the public.

I am asking you waive any fees associated with this request. I am a member of the news media.
