Pursuant to Michigan's Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), I hereby request the following records:
Seeking email records sent by staff of Michigan Department of Human Services between May 18, 2017 and June 1, 2017 making mention of the name "Chris Cornell."
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello Ms. Grant,
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) received the attached FOIA request from you. Your request is very broad. You are requesting all emails sent by staff making mention of the name "Chris Cornell". DHHS has between 14,000-15,000 employees. If each employee (14,000) spends a minimum of one hour (at an average of $25.00 per hour) on their computer just searching their email for emails mentioning "Chris Cornell", this makes the cost estimate for this FOIA request $350,000 which I'm sure you don't want to pay.
If you could give me some additional information about "Chris Cornell" or which program area in DHHS these emails might be located, we might be able to narrow this down.
