At the risk of sounding overly bureaucratic and impersonal, I'm writing to request that you resubmit your public records request through the Public Records Center maintained by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Department).

This said, submitting your request via the Public Records Center has other benefits and serves other purposes: it will provide you a tracking number for your request so you can monitor it; it will ensure that the request is efficiently directed to staff in the agency that routinely process the types of requests you are submitting, which will speed up the time needed to process and respond to the request; and, the Public Records center provides a mechanism that makes it easy to share large files of responsive records that cannot otherwise be sent by email.
