From: Daniel Collins

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Massachusetts Public Records Law, M.G.L. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

I would like a copy of all emails sent or received by the Arlington Massachusetts Department of Mental Health.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

I expect the request to be filled in an accessible format, including for screen readers, which provide text-to-speech for persons unable to read print. Files that are not accessible to screen readers include, for example, .pdf image files as well as physical documents.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Daniel Collins

Dear Mr. Collins,

Thank you for your inquiry. In order to better assist you we would need some clarification from your request, given its broad nature. In your request for a “copy of all emails sent or received by Arlington Massachusetts Department of Mental Health,” we are not sure whether you are looking for municipal records or department records. If you are requesting municipal records, I would encourage you to direct your inquiry to the town of Arlington. If you are requesting Massachusetts Department of Mental Health records, would you kindly clarify exactly what it is that you are seeking?

Sincerely,

Misael Garcia

Hi Mark,

I just saw that my ticket has been closed and that Verizon has been monitoring it and feels that the issue has been resolved. For quality assurance purposes I have sent a message out again to our Western Mass Site Directors to call the line and report back if they can get through. I will send you a further details as they come in, but want to let you know that I have already received a response from someone in Greenfield at: 413-772-5618 who said she got a busy signal when she called from that number and also from her cell phone (number not given). This is a multi-line number so she should not be getting a busy signal.

I will connect with you again as I hear from more folks, but wanted to give you a heads up that this is not likely resolved.

Thanks and have a great weekend!
Michelle
