Mr. Steinbaugh:

You placed a public record request to Lake-Sumter State College seeking copies of guidance or policies that we have adopted relating to the passage of HB 7 or Fla. State Section 1000.05(4). We are fully aware of this legislation however, while we have had internal discussions on this subject, we have not, as of yet, adopted any policies or procedures that address the contents of that bill. We have a proposed change in our faculty policies regarding Academic Freedoms. However, this policy has not been adopted or formalized as of yet and will not be completed, approved and adopted until September at the earliest. As soon as we have adopted that policy and formalized it by adoption, we will be happy to provide it to you. I trust that this will satisfy your request. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience. My email address is duncanb@lssc.edu<mailto:duncanb@lssc.edu>. My cell phone number is 386-847-1436. Do not hesitate to contact me should you wish to explore this further.
