1. The number of use of force incidents by type of force used in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, separated by year.
2. The number of use of force complaints in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, separated by year.
3. The number of use of force complaints sustained in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017, separated by year.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

2016 ***In 2016 the Irving Police Department began officer-based reporting as opposed to incident based reporting, which is reflected in a higher numbers of uses of force recorded. Our new reporting also captured more force types used, creating a further increase in recorded uses of force.
