Good afternoon,

Please allow this message to serve as confirmation that Purdue University has received your attached request for public records. Your request will be processed in accordance with Indiana's Access to Public Records Act.

Please know that Indiana Code 5-14-3-3(a)(1) states that a request for records "must identify with reasonable particularity the record being requested." While the term "reasonable particularity" is not defined within the APRA, the Indiana Public Access Counselor has consistently provided that requests for emails must identify, at minimum, the following:

1. Named Sender;
2. Named Recipient;
3. Time frame of six months or less; and
4. Set of search terms

Therefore, and in order for Purdue to perform an efficient and effective search for records, please reframe your requests to meet the above requirements. Once this information is received your request will be added to the queue and processed in the order it was received.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
