Pursuant to the Illinois Freedom of Information Act., I hereby request the following records:
All responses by Koppers Inc. to Notices of Violations issued by the Illinois EPA, from Jan. 1, 1970 to the date this request is ultimately fulfilled.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

This letter is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) (5 ILCS 140/1 et seq.)
requests dated December 12, 2023 and received by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency
(Illinois EPA) on December 13, 2023.
Please be advised that the Illinois EPA is unable to respond to your request within five (5) business days and is extending the response time by an additional five (5) business days pursuant to the Illinois FOIA at 5 ILCS 140/3(e). The reason for the delay is as follows:
(iv) the requested records have not been located in the course of a routine search and additional efforts are being made to locate them;
