From: Freddy Martinez
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Indiana Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
On July 26, 2015 there was a concert that was shut down when rapper "Chief Keef" appeared on stage. Therefore, I request documents sufficient to show:
- Communication between Hammond Indiana Police and outside police agencies around this concert
- Specifically: communications between Hammond Police and Chicago Police Department
- Specifically: communications between Hammond Police and the City of Chicago (if available).
- Policies and Procedures created for the "Chief Keef" concert in Hammond
- Documents (including emails, memos, and other forms of records) sufficient to show discussion about the concert.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Freddy Martinez

Hello, I apologize for the delay but I wanted to be thorough when trying to find email communication. We, unfortunately, do not have a very comprehensive history of emails and old emails are not archived unless there is a reason to keep them. In your case here, emails were not archived. I even checked individual officers emails to no avail. The officers involved also state that the majority of communication was done either in person or over the phone. Thank you for your patience and please let me know if there is any other way I can assist you.
