On March 10, 2020, it was reported that, "By late summer, Peachtree Corners will be participating in Georgia Power’s SiteView video surveillance and license plate reader program. The program will allow the city to have cameras installed on utility poles and streetlights at 15 strategic entry points. The cameras will only capture activity in the public right of way. Video footage will be made available to the Gwinnett County Police Department to enhance their public safety efforts. In addition to traffic activity, the cameras will scan license plates and alert police if vehicles are flagged as stolen or of interest in a criminal investigation."
