Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Emails, text messages and other communications regarding budget cuts, layoffs, programming changes, and the executive director retirement, interim appointment, and permanent replacement search at Georgia Public Broadcasting from April 1, 2023 to the present.
This would include any communications between the Office of Gov. and members of the Georgia Public Telecommunications Commission (Brian Dill, Jerald Mitchell, Cecil Staton), executives at GPB (gpb.org) including Teya Rayn, Bert Wesley Huffman, Elizabeth Laprade, Bill Nigut, and employees of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (employees possessing email addresses that end in @ajc.com), Cox Media Group (@cmg.com or @coxmediagroup.com), and Cox Enterprises (@coxinc.com, @cox.com, and @coxenterprises.com).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
