Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1) Enrollment data showing how many unique, first-year students have enrolled at Augusta University, broken down by zip code, for each year from 2010 through 2022.

2)Purchase orders/order summaries for all student name lists purchased by Augusta University since Jan. 1, 2010 from The College Board, ACT, Cappex, and other prospective student name providers. These order summaries should include the parameters of the list purchases, including any filters applied to the list purchases (e.g. limiting the list to certain geographic areas or to students with particular GPAs or intended majors). Please note that this request covers student name lists purchased directly by the university or by by a third-party, such as a consultant like Ruffalo, Noel, Levitz, acting on the university's behalf.

2) De-identified copies of all student name lists purchased by Augusta university since Jan. 1, 2010. To clarify: I request that the responsive portions of these spreadsheets be provided after removing columns containing identifying information (such as name, address, date of birth). Please note that this request covers student name lists purchased directly by the university or by by a third-party, such as a consultant like Ruffalo, Noel, Levitz, acting on the university's behalf.

I ask that all fees be waived as intend to use the requested records to further public understanding of public agencies.

Should you choose to reject this request or redact portions of responsive documents, I ask that you provide a detailed breakdown of the statutory exemptions and associated case law underlying your decision to withhold each/any portions from public review.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

We are responding to your May 18, 2023 Open Records Act (ORA) request. We are working on retrieving documents responsive to this request. We anticipate that we will provide you with responsive information on or about June 16, 2023. Please be advised that because Augusta University came into existence following its consolidation with Georgia Health Sciences University in 2013, we will be able to provide any responsive information beginning with the 2014 academic year. In accordance with the ORA, the documents may exclude information exempt by the ORA. These exemptions, as applicable, may include, but are not limited to, social security numbers, private (home) telephone and cell numbers, day and month of birth, and private (home) location information of personnel, medical information, information specifically required by federal statute or regulation to be kept confidential. See O.C.G.A. Sections 50-18-72(a) (1), (2), (20), and (21).
