In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I would also appreciate an approximate time frame for this request to be processed. Depending of the time frame for the request to be fulfilled and any fees that may be incurred, I may revise the criteria.

If you deny any part of this request, please cite each specific exemption you think justifies your refusal to release the information and notify me of appeal procedures available under the law.

Responsive records are available on the Florida Supreme Court’s online docket. searches yourself. You can find it here<acis.flcourts.gov/portal/home>. The Florida Supreme Court’s searchable docket is available online at acis.flcourts.gov/.
I believe you will find your request is too broad. Every single opinion of the Florida Supreme Court makes mention of the state’s constitution, for instance.
I believe you need to narrow your search to get the records you are seeking.

To Whom It May Concern:

I sincerely appreciate your response and will look into your link. I do have a question, though. It doesn't pertain to the Florida Supreme Court, but am I able to request court documents from lower courts (namely, Seventh Judicial Circuit and also Fifth District Court of Appeal)? To my knowledge, these are the lower courts that federal jurisdiction over civil suits filed in Volusia County, Florida, to my knowledge.

The reason for this is because of PACER paywall, and the cost would quickly mount, and I unfortunately am not wealthy by any means. It seems like a low cost, but it is public record at the same time, unless the court documents are under seal or it is anonymized or something of that nature.

I questioned that the EEOC on providing court documents wherein AdventHealth is listed as plaintiff or defendant and they cited confidentiality. But the reason for my questioning was that there is no such confidentiality to court documents as they are publicly accessible, provided you can pay.

Sincerely,

Bailey Pillon
