Martin County Water Quality Data and Reports

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, the Florida Public Records Law, Chapter 119, and the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. Records of local public complaints: Highlight any issues that the local public has reported due to algae in the water, health, and water quality.
2. Historical water quality reports in Martin County: Anything that will provide background data on the water quality of the St. Lucie River, which will help understand the conditions leading up to algae blooms.
3. Algae Bloom Monitoring Reports: Anything that provides specific information about frequency, severity, and duration of the blooms in the river.
4. Records of public meetings or hearings: Shows community responses and concerns
5. Reports of Lake Okeechobee draining: Reports on when and why the lake was drained.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
