Subject: Delaware Freedom of Information Act Request: Child care licensing records 2019-present (Department of Education)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Delaware Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Historical licensing data for all licensed child care providers (active and closed) that were open anytime from 1/1/19-present:
• Provider name or ID
• Provider address
• Latest license issue date and expiration date
• First license issue date
• Any additional provider data that your agency collects

If electronic records from before 1/1/19 are available, I’d be happy to collect them as well.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Subject: FW: FOIA Request

Attached you will find a report that provides most of the information requested in the FOIA request regarding currently licensed facilities. We do not have a report that details when the facility was originally licensed.

We do not have a report regarding closed facilities. We have requested any available information on that from another state agency that formally housed the Office of Child Care Licensing, DSCYF. I will send that response when received.
