- "SAF-ID / RAPID-ID," a rapid biometric identification tool
- "Iris Plus," an iris capture and matching tool
- "Evolution," a mobile fingerprint scanner
- "NIST Manager Plus," a fingerprint archive & management tool
- "Inmate Tracking," armband or biometric tracking tools
- "Tattoo Plus," a tattoo image recognition tool
DataWorks Plus also offers a series of case and information management tools designed to organize and store biometric information captured through a variety of methods.
I am hereby requesting the following records that relate to any and all DataWorks Plus products:
* Any contracts, purchase, orders, invoices, and receipts related to DataWorks Plus products.
* All instructional materials, presentations and presentation materials (including recorded video and audio, PowerPoint files, prepared remarks, and slides formats), and other guidance on the use of DataWorks Plus products. This includes A) any notes taken during meetings that discussed the use of DataWorks Plus products, B) any explanations (whether internally or externally generated) of how DataWorks Plus products, and C) any other document that has been used to help explain the use of DataWorks Plus products to any party, including internal documentation, public relations materials, and executive summaries.
* A copy of any privacy impact assessments, use policies, standard operating procedures, data retention policies, legal opinions, warranties, non-disclosure agreements, contracts, liability waivers, insurance agreements, Requests for Proposals, Responses to Requests for Proposal, Memorandums of Understanding, Letters of Interest, usage policies, or informal agreements between the police department and DataWorks Plus.
* A copy of any funding opportunity announcements, grant applications and grantor status/progress reports, reports to legislative bodies, annual reports that mention DataWorks Plus products as well as audit records, including but not limited to security audits of the software, misuse reports, and reports to oversight bodies.
* Any digital communications including but not limited to emails and text messages) as well as documents, (including but not limited to PDF, word processing, excel, and slide documents) that mention DataWorks Plus products.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. It will be used in the course of reporting for BuzzFeed News. Therefore, I request that all fees are waived in the processing of this request.

The cost for other records requested is as follows: A review of the files of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office has determined that there are no records responsive to your request concerning standard operating procedures concerning DataWorks Plus. In response to your request, the Contract Administrator in the Procurement Bureau has provided an estimate of 2-3 hours to review the contract for public record release.  Due to the extensive nature of your request, we require a deposit on account before the review is started.  The deposit is for the estimated amount of work needed to provide the documents and the scope of work involved.  Additionally, there will be an allotment of time involved because of limited staffing before your request will be completed.  You will be advised of the final costs when your request has been completed. The estimated cost for these records is as follows: Clerical Time - Three hours Contract Administrator's Time @ $26.48 an Hour Estimated Cost: $79.44 Further, to have the records searched for any emails, it would require that an IT Network Specialist set up and run a specific search for (their time is charged at their current hourly rate of $55.58 as they are the only personnel that can perform this task).  Then we would need someone to convert each of the responses (if any) and review every email for public record release.  The clerical time would be $15.00 an hour.  We cannot provide an estimate of these associated costs until a search is conducted because we do not know how many emails (if any) would need to be reviewed for public record release.  If you would like to narrow the extent of your request, please advise.  We will require a deposit because an IT Network Specialist will need to set up this search.  If you would like the Collier County Sheriff’s Office to proceed with this public records request, please advise and the amount of $55.58 for the search will be set up for payment.  You will be advised of the additional costs once the search is conducted. IT Network Specialist $55.58 : $55.58 Estimated Cost Total Estimated Cost: $134.92 * Additional Charges will apply after it is determined how many e-mails need to be reviewed for public record release and for the particular statutes requested - Clerical Time $15.00 an hour.
