Dear , This correspondence is in response to the Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA") request received by the City of Chicago Fire Department on February 17, 2022. You requested: "Compensation data for all employees of the Fire Department for the most recent year in which complete data are available (preferably 2020).

Specifically, I request that these data include, for each employee: Name, Job Title, Earnings, and date of birth (or age), gender, ethnicity, and hire date." Please be advised each City Department is a “public body” under Section 2 of FOIA, 5ILCS 140/2(a).

The administrative functions of the Chicago Fire Department (CFD), Chicago Police Department (CPD), and the Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) are now managed by the City's new Office of Public Safety Administration (PSA). These functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Human Resources/Personnel, Finance/Payroll, Grant Administration and Medical.
