Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. the total number of use of force incidents, separated by year from 2016-2017 (for example, "52 use of force incidents in 2016, 48 use of force incidents in 2017, etc.)
2. the total number of use of force incidents, separated by year and by type of force used from 2016-2017 (for example, "27 taser incidents in 2016, 3 baton incidents in 2017, etc.)

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
