Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
1. the total number of use of force incidents, separated by year from 2016-2017 (for example, "52 use of force incidents in 2016, 48 use of force incidents in 2017, etc.)
2. the total number of use of force incidents, separated by year and by type of force used from 2016-2017 (for example, "27 taser incidents in 2016, 3 baton incidents in 2017, etc.)
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

There are no electronic records that could be found meeting your format requirements/request. UOF incidents started being posted electronically on the CPD website starting in 2018. § 2.2-3704. Public records to be open to inspection; procedure for requesting records and responding to request; charges; transfer of records for storage, etc. D. Subject to the provisions of subsection G, no public body shall be required to create a new record if the record does not already exist. However, a public body may abstract or summarize information under such terms and conditions as agreed between the requester and the public body.
