To Whom it may concern,
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all records from the past year regarding your nuisance property ordinance that will be referred to as ordinance in this request but could be known (but not limited to) as Public nuisances as described in Article I § 294-4 of the city code.
Please provide any and all written records (including but not limited to hard-copy documents, memos, emails, word processor documents, PDF documents, PowerPoint files, images files, video files etc.) regarding the Ordinance including but not limited to:
• police calls, reports, citations, or arrests, collected by the municipality police department for the purpose of enforcing the ordinance
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The City of Buffalo Police Department (BPD) is in receipt of your Freedom of Information Law request. Please allow this letter to serve as an acknowledgment of your request pursuant to New York State Public Officer’s Law, Section 89, entitled Freedom of Information Law.

The BPD has researched your request for information pertaining to property nuisance ordinances with negative results. BPD would not have access to any inspection, complaints or violation pertaining to these ordinances. This would need to go to City Hall.

Please be advised that you have the right to appeal any denial contained herein in writing within thirty (30) days. Appeals must be directed to Corporation Counsel, City of Buffalo Law Department, 1100 City Hall, Buffalo NY 14202.
