--- Please respond above this line ---

Jarrod,
I spoke with our Archivist. This was not a Boston case and we do not have records responsive. However, she was able to provide me with the following.. perhaps it will help you? this robbery was not a Boston case. This is a matter of jurisdiction.  A mail robbery is a federal crime.  This robbery happened in Plymouth.  Newspapers indicate Boston investigators lent support, and some of those investigators had worked on the Brink's case, so that made good headlines. BPD set up a tip line.  Metropolitan and State Police patrolled highways.  Elected officials wanted to increase the federal reward.  Mr. Barbetta might be able to follow the story in newspapers or federal records.  The Commissioner's name is McNamara, not Mac.
