Pursuant to the state Freedom of Information Act, G.L.M. c.66, §10, I hereby request the following records:

Please provide the 2010, 2011 and 2012 YTD parking ticket statistics in regards to the number issued, the number appealed, how many of the appealed were waived on the first attemp vs sent to a hearning, how many tickets that were sent to a hearing showed up for a hearing, how many that had a hearing had the ticket waved and how many were required to pay.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by the recommendations of the Massachusetts Supervisor of Public Records. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

No response has been received since the request was filed in July 2012. It would seem that you have some kind of database with all the tickets if you are able to easily release the figures for total tickets issued and determine that 60% at hearings are dismissed. Release of that database in an excel format would satisfy this request since I could analyze the data myself to determine these figures requested for each of the time periods requested. Given that it has been two years since the request was filed please expand the request from 2010, 2011, 2012 to 2013 and 2014 YTD.
