Good Morning Jenny,

I am reviewing your public records request in regards to the Nuisance Property Abatement Ordinance. I would like to clarify which records you are trying to obtain. Are you looking for police records only or police records and emails associated with the ordinance? If you are looking for emails, do you want any email in regards to the ordinance or are you looking for something specific? Please be specific on which documents you are hoping to obtain. Thank you!

PRRID: 2024-1133  Wadhwa-Nuisance Property Abatement

Your request for “any and all written records" cannot be processed without more specific information.  The City has performed a preliminary search for the records you requested, and it has been determined that processing your request may require a cost to you and may not result in you obtaining the information you were seeking.
Specifically, are you looking for any records collected by the police department only or both police records and general city records, such as emails and memos. If you are looking for emails, memos, city documents, as well as police records, it may require a cost. If you are looking for emails, is there something specific you are looking for in relation to the Nuisance Property Abatement code? Thank you.

The City would like to give you the opportunity to further clarify the records you are attempting to obtain.  Please be as specific as possible and in sufficient detail to enable the location of records with reasonable effort.  Idaho Code section 74-102(4).  If I do not hear from you within 7 days of this correspondence, I will deem your request withdrawn.

Hello,
I am looking for enforcement actions, specifically police reports as referenced 4-2-1 and 4-2-2 of Chapter 2 in the Nuisance Property Abatement chapter of the Boise city code maintained for the purpose of enforcing the nuisance property abatement code. Ideally, I would like records for the past calendar year but, if that is overly burdensome, I would accept for the past five months.

Kindly,
Jenny
